There has been a J&J at the corner of NW 65th and 6th since 1955. The original “J’s” were John Nelson and Joe Pingnataro. They named their business J&J Auto Rebuild because both their first initials were “J”. The partnership transitioned into a Nelson family business. Ownership passed from John Nelson to his son John E. Nelson in the 1980’s and J&J Auto Rebuild changed its name to J&J Collision Center.
From January 1, 2000 to June 30, 2009, J&J Collision Center was outside the Nelson family ownership. As of July 1, 2009, a new enterprise, J&J Collision, is once again a Nelson family business. Chuck Ing, a highly valued associate for over 21 years, is the active manager of J&J Collision.
Although the name has changed, some things remain the same. J&J has always had a reputation for providing fair priced, high quality, auto body repair.
